Wendy Walker Davis Biography
Ms. Walker Davis is a freelance graphic designer in her own firm, walker creative, which was founded in 1994 and is currently based in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Her list of clients includes the State of New York, Pricellular Inc., State of Wisconsin, Paragon, NTSDirect, and Bemis Inc. Prior to walker creative, She served as creative director for GPA Inc., a specialty paper company in Chicago, Illinois, and as the Art Director for The Daily Telegram, in Superior, Wisconsin.
Wendy Walker Davis served as President of the Board of Directors for the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). In this position, Ms. Walker Davis had responsibility for the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the not for profit entity. As part of the largest national design advocacy association in the United States, AIGA-DFW serves its membership in professional development and the promotion of excellence in communication design. Prior to serving as President, she spearheaded an effort in late 2000, as Vice President of the board of directors credited with reorganizing the chapter in Dallas Fort Worth. She is recognized as an enthusiastic advocate of the professional design community and frequently travels to national design events to represent AIGA DFW.
Born in Highland Park, Illinois, Ms. Walker Davis earned her BA in Art History from the University Of Wisconsin-Madison, in 1994. She is a decorated veteran of the War in Kuwait, where she served as an army medic in the 477th Ambulance Unit. Prior to University, she attended prep school at the United World College in Swaziland, Southern Africa - Waterford Kamhlaba.
